    I'm glad that that guy ran out of red spray paint before he finished the whole thing !!! Going to try to get that red off with some scotchbrite & paint thinner.

    I like the pressure fed oil system on that Tecumseh 6 HP! The plunger oil pump is driven off of an eccentric on the cam. The white ones don't have that, do they? Plus the 60 has four speeds, both forward & reverse.

    Thanks for the offer of parts, but I don't feel in dire need of anything just yet. We'll see how it goes when i get it running, and into the testing & adjusting phase. The carb is iffy, might not be able to get the idle circuit to flow gas/air mix. I ordered up a kit for it + the bowl drain...

    Just got a '68 IH Cadet 60. Broke the chain and it gets all 4 gears while turning the trans output sprocket with Channel Locks. The 6 HP Tecumseh turns over freely using the electric starter. throws good spark, and has good compression. The rust dust & crust in the float bowl was amazing...
