Years ago on a fatm I worked at, for a joke I talked the boss into putting a turbo sticker on our H chore tractor. It usually got a look or giggle from people that hadn't seen it before. One fall we had a JD mechanic at the fatm rebuilding the hydraulic speed control on the combine. Had a young...

James, you have the right idea. Only one of those roll pins need to be removed. I don't know if the creeper shifter will clear but it would be worth a try. Not that I'm an expert but I could see a company not use a separate block for the 10 and 12 once the 12 came out, same with the 14. I...

David S, the PTO switch on a QL has to be off to start it. It's also a cause for the tractor not to start if that goes bad. If you get a test light or multi meter and you don't have 12 volts at the coil start at the ignition switch and follow the voltage till you find out where it stops.

The load valve is the fun one. Start at idle and crack the throttle to full speed. If it stumbles and smokes black or smells gassy turn the load valve in (right) a quarter or half turn. Start back at idle and crack to full throttle again, if it stumbles without the gassy smell turn the screw out...

Brian, if you have the carb thats adjustable it's not that hard to do. Familiarize yourself with the three setting screws. One lays horizontal on top of the carb and set the idle RPM. One sets the idle mixture, it goes into the carb at an about a 45 degree angle. The one on top pointed straight...
