    Deck adjustments

We have a 1978 CC model 1200. The deck bracket on the front of the tractor is loose. How do you move to backwards and tighten the bolts

    1200 clutch shaft issues

Thanks for your help. I was able to talk to CCC parts and he knew exactly what my problem is. He agreed that the new shaft is for a 108 also. So I ordered the new shaft and returned the old one. Great resources on this page Thanks everyone!!

    1200 clutch shaft issues

Great information guys. My two issues are. 1. In the used shaft there are 2 holes for the spring retaining pin. When we removed the shaft the pin was in the closest to the rear. New hole or push the spring in more? I really don’t think the spring will compress that far but willing to try. 2...

    1200 clutch shaft issues

Bought off eBay. The new shaft has no score marks on it. Maybe you see the mark I put on when I was measuring where the other hole is on the old shaft. Also the hole on the rear end is not in the same location

    1200 clutch shaft issues

I started this on Facebook last night, figured this is a better platform for technical issues. Tractor is a 1978, model 1200 that my grandson bought a while ago. Clutch started acting up then stopped engaging altogether. We removed the clutch shaft and found numerous issues. The shaft was badly...

    My Free Compressor

One thing missing from the test recommendations. Never use air to perform the pressure test. As stated in on of the earlier posts, that 150psi air pressure has a massive amount of stored energy. The ASME codes specifically state to use water due to the safety considerations

    Rust Remover Suggestions

Related question. What to use to fill small areas that have rust into the metal. I have some areas where the rust has eaten into the base metal. I don’t want to just paint over it for looks. I was thinking JB weld, but that gets a little expensive for large areas.

    Grandson’s first tractor

My grandson bought this a couple months ago and it died the first time he tried to use it. We finally got it to my place and replaced the brake and PTO switches and a new battery. He’s mowing my yard to make sure we did it right. Who’s prouder, him or PaPa😁😁👍

    New to my grandson

I found the brake/clutch switch and will check it out. Where is the neutral switch if there is one. I haven’t had time to do much trouble shooting as my grandson can’t come over for a few days

    New to my grandson

He hope to travel within his neighborhood. If needed it fits nicely in their 6X12 enclosed trailer. He and I have worked on numerous projects together. His dad bought this, but it won’t start. Won’t turn over or anything. Like no battery. So we are starting at ground zero.

    Serial number question

I missed that one. The brake? Petal was in the way when I was looking it over. New number is 2050580U658172. Makes more sense now. June, 1978. Thanks for the help
