Got the 127 back together yesterday. Have to weld a place on the Haban sickle bar mower before I put it back on.

Ron S. I did take the fan shroud loose also. I had to wiggle it around some to get the shaft to go out the back of it.

Ron I figured I could pull the rear end out, but that it would be a lot of work getting all of the Hydro linkage unhooked, and hooked back up.

First time taking a driveshaft out of a narrow frame Hydro. All I've ever done before were wide frames (782, and 1811's). This my sickle bar mower tractor. I guess I have had some out of 70's, and 100's to work on the clutch.

I got the driveshaft out, by taking the filter off. Danny

Digger I can't get it worked around the steering tube. It would be nice to be able to just tilt the engine. The fan on the driveshaft is the main problem. When I figure out what I need for sure, I'll call you. Danny

What is the best way to replace the driveshaft in a 127? I pulled the engine, and finally got the bolts out of the flex coupling, but it won't go out the front. Tomorrow I'm going to try taking the steering gear loose to see if I can work it out then. Thanks Danny

The fenders do look like Panzer fenders, but I think they're too long. It would be nice to see a rear view.

The engine in the "prototype" looks like a Wisconsin. The shroud, and starter pulley looks like a Wisconsin. You can also see the magneto behind the air cleaner.

Hadn't thought about that. It needs new battery cables. Someone torched the battery box to put a side post car battery in it. It will give me something to work on for a while.

Got this this morning at an auction. I got first choice out of a line of push mowers, and a few other tractors. It was $55.00, with the snow thrower. When I went to pay the clerk said $110.00. I didn't argue, just paid the extra. I worked with the seller when I worked at the dealership 40...

    I HATE this new crap!

A few years ago I think someone said they had gotten some of the bearings that fit the rear driveshaft coupler of an 1811. These are the bearings that guide the end of the driveshaft in the cast part. Does anyone remember who it was, and if they still have some. I replaced one in one of my...

Thanks to everyone for the information on the lift cylinder for the 782. I ordered one to use for now, since the one I have doesn't seem to want to come apart. I haven't tried heating it yet, but I did try a 2' pipe wrench. I couldn't get a good bite with it though. I'm thinking of welding...
