    Those &%$*! Roll Pins

Could be Ron but the word I usually used started with an F@#$ sake. Yes craig they were used there as well on many vehicles but it is rare to find a vehicle with manual windows any more. I have the tool and removed many of them. The foreign cars Hyundai, Honda and Kia had the exact same clip...

    Those &%$*! Roll Pins

Usually for me if I try to drive out a roll pin it bends or flares making even more difficult. I have found two methods that work best for me. One cut the pin off even with the shaft or whatever it goes through making it flush so it cannot expand and I have taken an old torx screwdriver and cut...

    Sand or soda blasting

I have never used walnuts but I hear they are good. They should be easy on soft materials but I don't know for sure. The only thing you need to find out is what nozzle you use with them. Most materials require different size nozzles.

I bought another one. 1250 Hydro

Thank you for all the input. I really appreciate it. I have seen some tractors with a pump installed on the front pto off the engine. Are these factory or aftermarket? Ty

I bought another one. 1250 Hydro

Thank you all. Yes km I guess it would be a gearbox rather than what is traditionally considered a pto. I will check those mounts and make the suggested modification. Thank you for the information. There is a plate that is cracked still attached to the engine, that must be the plate...

I bought another one. 1250 Hydro

I don't have a picture at the moment. I have two houses and I am in the city and I took it to my place in the country but I will get one. To me it looks like it has a pto that is belt driven? There is a factory bracket bolted to the rear and an angle drive pto with a pulley on the bottom which...

I bought another one. 1250 Hydro

Hello everyone, I am interested in opinions and thoughts about a 1978 1250 hydro. It hasn't run in some time and the mower deck is trash but it did come with a dozer blade and rotor tiller with the rear pto and three point hitch. I will post some photos when I can. The motor does roll over...

    No start

This may not be the issue but I have had issues with other equipment that the coil has power when the key is turned on but looses it when the switch is turned to crank. Old equipment old wires. Sometimes I will run a hotwire to the coil and try that.

    My First Cub Cadet

Hello all. So after some assembly, disassembly and reassembly I have the pro clutch installed. I need to get some new parts but it is serviceable. I drilled out the set screws and then drill them to a larger size and tap them. No problem. I ran into a problem with the locking eccentric bearing...

    Sand or soda blasting

You can get different grits of sand as well. I used O and OO, pronounced ought and double ought. O is very agressive and leaves the metal raised. If you take a feather edger or sander with some 180 automotive sand paper to it you can prime over it. The OO doesn't take nearly as much sanding but...

    Sand or soda blasting

Jford is correct. The other concern with sand is it will cut away some metal. It makes a very coarse service that will require either sanding or a heavy primer. You can also get what is called slag. It is a heavy black material that works well on rust and corrosion. Glass beads are a good for...

    New with a question

Hi, I do not know. But do your blades now overlap or no. You could see this by manually urning the blades to see if they overlap or just have a small clearance. Sometimes it trial and error.

    Pre paint prep

Yes good point, Isocyonates destroys your nervous system. Fresh air supply is best but if you spray it outside with a respirator on would be best.
