    Cub 70 motor smoking

Getting started on my 2nd refurb, this one being a model 70. Looks pretty original and runs good except for the smoke. puffs a lot of blue smoke on startup and pretty much anytime i accelerate. So far my experience is on all the "easy" stuff, wiring, steering, carb, valve adjustment...

    New whacker reco’s

well as a follow up i ended up buying a stihl fs70R from the local dealer for 350-ish. lot of money for a whacker but i hope it will last at least as good as the husky. i've been using it all summer and it works great. starts quick, runs strong and the string feed is not bad. thats always...

169 fuel shut off with sediment bowl.

i have bought several from charlie and they work fine and look good. its not worth the hassle to mess with them and then worry if they're going to leak.

    devilbiss spray gun.

sounds like good advice. i was leaning toward the HF gun but thought if these ones will work, i'd try them. but i don't need any more PITA so i guess i'll skip the devilbiss. thanks.

    devilbiss spray gun.

i can believe they are old considering where i got them. if i wanted to play with them what paint/hardener mix and air pressure would you suggest? i will be spraying the irongard paint eventually but will start out with something cheaper to play around with

    devilbiss spray gun.

i have two of these. very clean but i think they were used for stain. not sure if that’s just an adjustment or i need new nozzle. i assume these are good guns for paint? any tips on use? never did anything but rattle can and looking to use this for some upcoming cub projects

What can you glean from a terrible picture?

from what i can see of those, none of them are worth the money. but in your location, that could be what they cost. as someone said above, having multiple of the same or similiar model is definitely a help. i started out buying a 100 that was fully functional and bought a half dozen more...

    torque wrench recommendations

western PA. the only reason i was thinking about buying new vs used was i wasn't sure how to tell if a used one was worn out or out of calibration.

    torque wrench recommendations

i will be using it for cub work so 20- whatever would be the range. i was leaning towards beam but it seems like everybody is selling mostly click
