    Cub Cadet Model 128

Thanks Kraig. This is getting better and better. These pictures are worth at least 2000 words. Not only does the spring get more tension but the rear attachment is much stronger being on the outside of the frame. I can't wait to try this new installation, new to me anyway, and thanks to this...

Hey Lewis, thank you thank you.Turning the bracket around should do the trick. Such a simple solution and I couldn't see it. A picture is worth a thousand words!

Here are a couple pictures showing the spring assist tensioning bolt and how I got it to go as far as it could go. Also a picture of my little test garden. I did tighten the throttle lever and it now stays in position when under full, or near full, running position.

Thanks Kraig for the info. Getting the throttle to stay put looks to be easy enough and will be a big help when operating the tractor. However the assist spring is another story. Hey everyone, I've made some progress on my 128. As you can see it is looking much better. I also did some mechanical work on it too. I removed the rear cover for the differential and removed the old dirty , water polluted fluid. I also drained the dirty fluid from the creeper drive housing. I...

    Cub Cadet Model 128

Hi everyone. I am a new member, the first time I've posted anyway. I have been a Cub Cadet enthusiast since the early 60's when my Dad brought one home. It wasn't long before I started plowing gardens in the summer with a turning blade and plowing driveways in the winter with the snow blade. I...
