Tractor For Sale 2284 Super Cadet

I have one that looks like a sister to this one. Hood and grill have been totally repaired and painted in Cub paint. I obtained the original decals and applied them and it sure looks good. Mine is the 1440 build date is 1992 with the Briggs V-twin. Runs like a top and I installed a 451 45inch...

Here is the deal - I have close to that price in total into this unit and it would, and still is, worth every penny. Got it done and wife passed before I had to use it and now no longer need it. Reason is because I must move sometime within the next 9 or 10 months - family and age pressure...

Tractor For Sale 1440 with 451 snow blower

Here is a great deal. It's a 1992 Cyclops 1440 model 142-633-100 c26263 Bought it specifically for snow blower - found used 451 and installed it - also added linear actuators for lift, turn and chute angle. Reason is - wife had dialysis at 6am three days a week and I needed to clean out...

The DEEG bearing installation on my 1440

Anyone done this to make stiff steering a little easier? Kinda makes sense --- would like input tho

Installing an electric power steering in my 1440.

Yeah - immediately after pushing "post" - i realized that. I may round up the little bearings and install them onto the front wheel hubs and then try these tires. Problem is this; Once I turned 80 I have found that most of my arm strength has eroded to the point a 40 pound bag of salt feels like...

Installing an electric power steering in my 1440.

Thank you- I am exploring the possibility of locating a compact more efficient (less current draw) brand. I do not have a fabrication shop so need to explore possibilities of bolt on, and parts that will adapt to my need. (asking a lot, eh)

Installing an electric power steering in my 1440.

Interesting - however the current draw is a little heavy as I am not sure the 1440 has enough capacity sustain that draw. If I knew how to research the brand of a more compact system along with current draw that would a lot smaller --- does the toyota, honda, etc have a more suitable one?

Installing an electric power steering in my 1440.

Well - not what I wanted to hear - however truth helps. Maybe look around for electric modification. Thoughts?

Installing an electric power steering in my 1440.

Better question yet - is there a model of this cyclops - wide frame - that came with factory power steering? If so - would this be a straight forward (bolt-on) addition. Question I would have up front is "will my hydrostatic unit be able to supply the hydraulic pressure since my unit is an early...

Installing an electric power steering in my 1440.

Now have the 451 on tractor - works great, however it takes a lot of muscle to steer the unit. Has anyone ever taken an electric steering and adapting it to the 1400 and if so would you identify what you did it with and issues in completing the job. Thank you all in advance
