I wouldn't pay more than $800 for that machine. The Briggs is a downgrade to me. Much rather see a Series II KT 17, Magnum 18/20, or Command swap in there.
 
That Briggs will run a lot smoother at all speed ranges than a shake & bake KT17. I have a rebuilt 10 over Briggs L head in mine. Mounted soild just like the OEM 582 were. Nice machine Andrew. Should run you a long time.
