Lets see a fancy CNC mach do that! That core came in with that shaft completely snapped off...the younger guys have no clue how to repair something like that,only how to program machines.

Even the setup looks awesome. Are those steady rest trails I see? If so did you counter bore and weld in a new shaft?
 
Wow. Nice work. I was just buying some odds and ends from a young guy clearing out some old tooling from his grandfathers estate, young guy was a cnc programmer (aka "machinist") as I am flipping over his tools, he holds up a B&S index head and asks me if I know what it does... sigh.. I just replied yes and left it at that! LOL.
