When the steering gets "stiffer", what should I be looking for to solve the problem?
Before mounting my 450 bear of a blower the steering on 982 worked great, now it is a chore to turn. I know the blower is heavy, thats a given. Everything is greased up as it should be and not binding. I'm wondering is something internal wearing out and with the extra weight its showing its ugly face? I have V's on the front for tires and are aired up properly. I have tractor in motion and it difficult to turn. Know stand still it will be hard with the extra weight. Even tried it on hard packed vs soft lawn, both sucked.
Is that pin inside stating to wear on that worm gear? Only ever had it apart when I bought tractor a long time ago to confirm there was grease inside.
Thoughts?
I know power steering would be best, but don't have funds to do a conversion
