169! I think that’s a semi-rare model. There is a great discussion on how many cooling fins 16hps have from long ago, so you should count them one day when you’re bored, and search for the threads about it.
The original owner claims they only made this for one year? Hope nothing wrong but he had it forever and his dad is the one who purchased it

A few things raise some questions from what I see in the pic.
Because it sure has the wrong, at least, air cleaner and the hour meter is missing from where it should be.
looks like a 1x9?? something with an AQS engine from here
You better double check that serial number!!

Some idiot painted a 169 orange!!

Brian,
I did not mean to disrespect the lower hp models, but we don’t know his plans for this tractor, and it’s better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

The Bathtub King of Shell Knob has me wanting an 8 hp mowing machine.

Edit: sorry, The newly-crowned, and recently-retired Bathtub King of Shell Knob...

It always starts with just one. They’re a gateway tractor.

Stephen,
Looks like a nice tractor. Original tires, and seat looks to be in great shape. Protect those rear lights, they are rare.
Even though the engine has been changed out, (provided the same HP engine was installed) it still should be a great worker.
Now, if you could just get it back to yellow & white, it would really be super nice!

Definitely a lot better than the pitiful one that don't run that the dealer still has. I would be tempted to go by and let them know what you now have since they were too high, and not very interested in making a sale.

i plan on sand down and repaint and i want to get decals, he has the head lights in a box for some reason and i like to make it look correct. look what i did to this 1970 ford 400 and i restored the 70s era york brand rake, i found it lay in a farm field all rusted and weeds grow through it
