Steve - you just gotta learn the differences between wide frame and narrow frame tractors AND the best way to do it is just buy more and more and more of them. :roflol:

The front wheels for a wide frame tractor have the narrow offset and valve stem towards the outside (wide offset inside).
The front wheels for a narrow frame tractor have the wide offset and valve stem towards the outside (narrow offset inside).
Otherwise the wheels are exactly the same.

You canNOT use wide frame wheels on a narrow frame because the valve stem will hit against the knuckle/spindle If you reverse the wheel and put the valve stem towards the outside the wheel won't fit over the knuckle/spindle. So forget putting those wide frame wheels on a narrow frame tractor.

Now, you CAN use narrow frame wheels on a wide frame tractor. I did that on my 169 and called it a "pre-production feature" (since the wheels are from an earlier CC). I like it since it causes the wheels to stand up more straight and not have so much camber (or at least appear to not have so much).
Here's a pic where you can see the outside of one wheel and the inside of the other wheel.

Harry i did not know. well ther yah go. Will they fit on the 109?

Steve - here's a slight clarification to Doug's info.
Your 1450 wheels "should" fit the 109. Yes, both are wide frame tractors but the later production 1450's came with 1" front spindles. Your 1450 wheels in the picture look to me like they have bearings to fit the 3/4" spindles on the early production 1450's (but only you know for certain and can measure them if needed).

Now, your 109 could have come with the standard 4:80x4x8 front tires that are mounted on skinny rims (which I think are about 3" wide but I don't know the dimensions). You can still use your 1450 rims (that use the 16x6.5x8 tires) on your 109 as long as they are for 3/4" spindles and you get the larger size tires.

Yes. Should have mentioned the spindles.
