The W/P or IH stamped bolts is what makes a "restoration" just that....a restoration.
First thing that jumps out at me when viewing a "restored" Cub Cadet at a show.

Hydro Anyone on forum sell Nut and Bolt kits. For Cubs.

"Nut and Bolt Kits"????? Well, I know a guy that used to get the original bolts re-plated so they looked brand new. I think the place that did it for him had a minimum charge so he'd wait till he had a 5-gal bucket full, which included things like the rods and turnbuckle for the PTO, etc.

Not sure if this is what you're referring to or if you're looking for brand new bolts. If you want them to refurb your 1450 then you want the bolts with "WP" stamped on the heads.

I have a place that will replate zinc nickel and Cadium. Just a hassle.I plated every bolt on my 72 Buick. Don’t wanna go through it all over.

Matt G. has done some electroplating of IH bolts, here's a link to Matt's webpage. He has a link on it to his electroplating info:

EDIT: Fixed the link to Matt's webpage.

I have something like these on my 782. Waiting for the others to burn out on my 1872 and I will replace them as well. I like them because they look like the original incandescent bulbs from the outside.

Matt - I like those LEDs. I've been looking, but hadn't thought to look at pool deck lights. Did you have to do any mods, or was it pretty much a straight swap?

Sorry Matt - but I don't like these bulbs since they appear to have a whitish back on the inside of the bulb. The original GE4411 have a chrome type back that reflects the light. I'll be sticking with the originals, even tho they now don't say "Made in USA". GE either sold off their Lighting division or transferred the molds to China, or both. I think the GE bulb factories were in Virginia and Ohio. Lost more of the good ole USA jobs.

They are white inside because the inside is a grid of tiny LEDs...no need for a reflector. The lens itself is almost identical. Small price to pay...they are several times brighter than the incandescent bulbs and have a fraction of the current draw. Might as well get used to it....someday this is all they will make.

But you think those look bad- until a couple years ago, all the LED replacements looked like this:

You should see some of the fugly square LED lights a lot of people are kludging onto the older machines these days. 10 years from now it will be hard to find an unmolested headlight blockoff panel...

Unfortunately I was one of those people who put some fugly rectangle LED headlights on my 129 🤦‍♂️. I like the look of stock lights much better but I think I have less than $20 into the cheap LED's that will have to work for now vs. the cost of a stock set of lights and the correct headlight panel. I was smart enough to not alter the original headlight block off panel though and used a scrap piece of stainless to fit the cheap LED's in for my new headlight panel.

They look fine to me.Nice job of mounting too. But I'm not politically correct...

Thank you, they turned out okay and serve their purpose, did my best to run the wiring harness for the lights close to how a stock one would have been. I've added a couple other touches to the tractor that were not stock either, it's definitely not a show queen of a machine.
