This tractor came up for sale in my area just recently and not sure if the seller is a member of the forum or not but I just wanted to share the picture of the restoration this guy completed on this tractor. I've seen him post other cubs for sale in the past on Craigslist that are just as beautifully restored also but I'm not aware of who he is but want to share the picture of the work he does anyhow. Wish I had the type of money in a tractor fund that the seller is asking to make my shop this tractor's new home  Not sure how I'd like a gear drive for loader work but I also don't think I could get myself to take this machine out in the dirt like it was meant to be used. Lol

After using a hydro for snow plowing with a hydraulic angle blade and using my 149 w/restored DanCo loader I would have to stick with the hydro .

Much repetitive gear shifting becomes a PITA after a while.

BTW, what'd his asking price??

He's asking $3,000 or trade for a really nice 782 plus cash. I don't have either of those for the machine so looks like it won't be coming home with me. Lol

Just put the chains on the 129 tonight and pushed a little snow and pulled my 21 month old son around on the sled in the driveway and I'd have to agree on wanting a hydro for loader/blade work.

That's a decent price.
I'd have to say it was a labor of love though.
Hell, I'd bet he spent at least $300 just on hoses and fitting IF he replaced all that stuff when he restored it.
Not to even mention what it cost him for the original purchase price.

Opinion...I've pushed a heck of a lot of white stuff over the years...My first personal was a Jeep stick. After 2 yrs of a sore left knee from constant clutching I went to newer Jeep with auto trans.Wouldn't ever go back to stick for doing driveways or small lots...but...operator attitude matters on such equipment..Treat it harsh and you'll pay eventually(or sooner)

I'd say you're correct on that, he's definitely not making money on it especially with his time!

Update: less than 24 hours and it's not listed for sale anymore. I'm guessing it found a new home or he changed his mind on selling it and decided to keep it.
