Hi All-

I have been trying to research all over as to whether a 1961 Cub Cadet Original can be set up to pull a # 1 Tiller and I seem to be finding mixed reviews. The tractor does not have the creeper gear, and I would have to purchase a gear box and the gear box mounting bracket (if I can find them).

What are the thoughts of the Forum members.

Thank you!

Brian

Brian,

Welcome to the forum! (kinda) I see you joined back in 14' but have only posted twice.
I think the O will work, but finding a "creeper gear" for it will be almost impossible. If you do find one, you could probably buy another model cub cadet with a creeper gear on it for about the same price as the O creeper! In other words, they are about as rare as chicken teeth. LOL
My opinion: keep the O, fix it up (restoration) and buy another cub for the tiller. A 100 would work great, and the creeper is not as hard to find.. Just my two cents.
