    Looks like a slow day for Cub talk. I have been doing a little fab work. Here is my angle adjuster for the front blade. It works pretty slick, didn't get off the tractor at all when pushing the last snow.

    Harry, My 782 has a similar sticker to yours, and it is smeared in much the same way. The first Canadian number is 1975 and a little bit of the Australian numbers are readable. I will get you a picture tomorrow, unless you get it figured out first.

    Bill, I agree with Dennis on the mowing qualities. I have been mowing at about 3-1/2". When I mow often, slow, dry, etc., I can get a good quality cut. I now believe that it is lack of vacuum that doesn't allow any variance in mowing conditions. For instance, I recently let my grass go...

    Dave R, I think that is what Dave C. was saying. Changing the small sprocket will speed up the auger while leaving the gear box and driveshaft spinning at their original RPM. I replaced the pulley on my snowthrower. I get a faster auger, but the gear box and driveshaft are also spinning...

    Mike, If someone changed the top links to put it on a *82, then they may have changed the pulley to accept the 5/8" belt as well. Also, I think the pulley would need to be adjusted along the shaft for a QL vs a *82. It might be worth a look to see what pulley you have and how it aligns...

    I went to mount up my new (to me) wheel weights and chains. The mounting bolts for the weights are about 1" too short. The chains are too small as well. They are marked as 8 - 12 IIRC. My tires are 23x10.5x12. I am guessing that the weight and chains were mounted on 23x8.5x12's on the...
