    Electronic ignition?

Have a Kirks Engine unit on a 321 with a Bosch coil--been running for 3 yrs. Super fast start, runs smooth, no problems at all. I agree with Greg on the Pertronix unit. Have on a 1956 Century boat-far superior to stock ignition. Just follow instructions-don't reinvent the wheel.

Is there a better one of the IH Cadets?

Just wondering-- when you say the fine splined axles are more durable--under what condition. I have three old units--104,106 and124-all must have about a zillion miles of grass cutttin and have never had any trouble with the axles.

    Thank you. Al Koller

Sounds to me like his dad who lived in N.Y. bought new in 1969 and paid $1200.00 for it--which is about right price wise. Albert now lives in Georgia. Robert--cut the guy a little slack

    Cub prices

Takin care of and ridin a piece of history means a lot more to me than how fast you can get sumpthin done. Ya don't throw grandpa away just because he moves a little slower. Don't forget he is responsible for all this modern throw away junk. If he could talk--probably not very proud of it neither.

    Fuel sediment bowl elimination

Don't eliminate this bowl. You are asking for carburetor problems--trash in gas will flow directly to carb

    coil question and introduction

Interesting discussion. What is main cause of the capacitor to fail? I have had ones that never fail--years and years--then some that will last for hours and croak.
