    Swapped in used k321

I bought a used k321 several year back, from I believe to be a good source. Just now getting it in. Pulled the head and cleaned carbon. Sanded head flat. Checked valve adjustable (good). New carb, points, coil and plug and wire. Adjust governor arm. Runs at low speed, doesn't throttle up very...

    Guard Moose revisit

Posted Guard Moose a year ago looking at my Cub Cadets from a distance. One year and a day later, he moved in to take a closer look at all my I.H.s. Why he decided to squeeze in there 🤷‍♂️. Fresh grass I guess. https://photos.app.goo.gl/fZCFfuarKuaXmcpu5

    Used Engine Swap

Finally lost an old Kohler engine on my 129. Years ago, I had a chance to buy a good used K321A, which I plan to install into the 129. I understand the K321A should fit right in. The only thing, I don't know what year model the K321A came out of. For the most part Gaskets for the engine...

I knew you guys would know

I think I have found a question that the internet doesn't answer. Asked several different ways and can't find what I need. I was doing some work on my old sears horizontal air compressor. Without thinking, I laid it on its side for quite a while. As I stood it back up, I realized that I probably...

    129 electrical

    129. Electrical schematic shows the regulator post are. B , G , F. The regulator that is in it has L , B , F. What is the difference ? I can tell this thing is wired wrong. Had hot going to ground. My only spare regulator has the L post also. Does anyone have ohm specs I can use to bench...

    1862 idler torsion spring

How do you safely remove the tension on idler torsion spring? Need to remove idler shaft so I can try and straighten the pulley arms. If possible ? I don't remember hitting anything last year hard enough to bend them. But I must have. Lots of old equipment and large rock around.

Didn't think I needed more Cub Cadets.

I'm at the point in life where I'm ready to get rid of stuff. Until, an older gentleman heard I have some Cub Cadets and hunted me down till he found my house. Said he had some Cub Cadets he wanted to sale and wondered if I would be interested. So had to look. A 107, 127, 1250, all with mow...

1862 PTO problem, Opposite of John's

PTO always on with switch off. Putting heavy drag on starter. I checked that there is no voltage at PTO. First time doing electric clutch. Can just polishing up the surfaces help. Or the manual speaks of an air gap. Is that air gap measured between these two pieces and is it adjusted by the...

    1862 Service Manual Help

Bought a 1862 Service Manual that is a poor copy of original . Most of it is good enough. Need one page. ( have very faded copy ) Need 5-7 diagram for panel and grill removal. My first working on a CCC, after working on many IHCC. Looks similar, but more things in the way and not as...

Still getting to know my 1862

The granny fill port under the seat. Does it screw off or just pull up ? Doesn't want to do either one with out force. I did try to turn it with force and the whole fill tube turned. So don't know if I break something at the base connection. So didn't want to pry up with force, was afraid the...

    Voltage regulator 3wire vs. 4wire

Model 129, my 3wire voltage regulator test bad. I have a 4 wire regulator on hand. Without having an internal wire diagram of both regulators, I don't know if you can make the 4 wire work in place of the 3 wire. Comparing tractor diagrams that use the 3 wire vs. the 4 wire, it somewhat appears...

How do you care for your underside mow deck ?

I have tried many methods over the years to protect the underside of mower. Mostly different paints and technics. Only holds up for one season. My lawn doesn't help. Mountain creek meadow turf. So seems to always change, do pick up some dirt and gravel in spots. Maybe something that helps...

    1862 carburetor

Bought my 1862 last summer. After sitting for the winter, was going to bring it inside to do springtime maintenance. It took just a little bit to get gas primed up to carburetor, but started fine. Let idle and get warmed up. Started to drive it inside the garage, and it died. Then I could smell...

    Any Other 830 Owners

I have a CCC 830 Riding Mower. I searched the forum for other posts on a 830 and could not find any. Just wondering if there are many out there.

    CCC years

I believe CCC was owned by IH for a few years before being sold to MTD. What years did all things happen?
