    1863 electrical delima

Keith, you get the bozo button!! Battery terminals replaced and she is puring like a champ. Old terminals were a little oxidized. Wouldn't have ever thought they needed replacing. I guess that machine does have a sensitive electrical system. I'm happy again thanks!!

    1863 electrical delima

you know Keith, I may just try that cause I have exahusted everything else. I did replace the battery due to it being depleated and heavily corroded termials but the leads didn't look that bad. I feel like I have a ray of hope. will let you know how it goes.

    1863 electrical delima

A little stuck on trouble shooting my electrical issue on our 1863 cub. New battery, thought I tested a pto switch failure correctly and replaced pto switch. Still no start. Panel light at key turn is dim and weak but battery tests a full charge. Last season the I had to flip pro 3-4 times...

    1863 Sleeve Hitch

I figured I needed something like that but hadn't seen or heard any talk about it. Thank you for the help.

    1863 Sleeve Hitch

I'm afraid to show my ignorance but I don't have the lift arms (three point hitch) on my tractor that will attach to the A-frame adaptor. Is there an adaptor for the adaptor? all joking aside, I guess I need some...lift arms?

    1863 electrical switch testing techniques

yes, I have accidentally let it backfire a couple of times by not letting it idle long enough before shutting down but that is the only time it has backfired. oh I really hope its not the key. I have to take it down again. I replaced the rear main seal when I purhcased it. was fun but time...

    2206 engine/mower problem

I think I am having similar problems. I just posted on my "1863 switches" topic that something is kicking in during cranking and slowing it down horribly and now the engine is missing on one cyclinder. Same fauled plug issue that you are having but not as oily. thought I heard some...

    1863 electrical switch testing techniques

turns out the pto switch was ok. The ignition, for whatever reason just gave up on me. Engine starts now with new switch but is missing horribly and something is still kicking in and loading the engine down heavily on start, about every 10th revolution during cranking something is kicking in...

    1863 electrical switch testing techniques

Set out to mow the yard this afternoon. Tractor wouldn't start. "PTO Engaged" led was on at turn of ignition key, I checked the pto switch and it was off. After a couple more cranks the tractor felt like the pto was trying to kick in during cranking preventing the tractor from getting a full...

    1863 SNOWPLOW MOUNT QUESTIONS

William, the hydraulic lift bracket for the 1863 is about $80.00, my wife wouldn't let me buy it this month so I got itchy and made one out of some 1/2" steel. I attached the bracket to the blade with the same rod used to attach to the manual lift lever. It works fine, not factory but no...

    Confused and unhappy

Matt, don't hate me..I used a cut off wheel to allow the snow blade to latch. I made a neat vertical cut on both factory thing-a-ma-bobs. The blade slid right into place.

Didn't know what to expect after posting last. Thank you for being understanding and I will try to perform better in the future.
