I was able to solder the hole and a couple of other areas that were suspicious and then filed them smooth. I'll keep it under water over night and see if I sealed the leak.

Thank you for the information. I opened the carb up this morning and the float is full of gas. Located the hole and will solder it once all the gas has dripped out. But it still needs a kit so I'll order one from the site you suggested. Thank you again.

Excellent Kharvey. Thank you for that bit of information. From what I've researched, Vermeer did not put lights on their 147H trencher. Perhaps someone else on the forums can clarify if they have a trencher with lights. So the violet light will not be connected on my unit.
