I didn’t remember PerTronix was a subsidiary of PerLux that made the high-end fog/driving lights for OTR tractors.
I worked at the Charlotte IHC Truck Factory Branch from 1973 until 1980 and we stocked/sold PerTronix upgrades. I used several units in various 289 Mustangs with no problems at all as long as I kept them.
The tires are 2” greater in diameter so clearance with the fenders or deck would only be affected by 1”. That 1” can be significant in some situations but I don’t think it would be in this one. A quick measurement of the current original tire clearance could confirm or deny my suggestion.
The tires are 2” taller overall and 1/2” narrower. Put them on and you’ll be fine. Ninety-nine out of a hundred people would never notice it, one lol would ☝🏼😆

I write small and orderly 😆 My current F150 I’ve had 5 years and that’s a record for me. Had the Camry 2 so there’s plenty of room for records in both manuals. Company vehicles saved a lot of miles and maintenance costs but now I’m retired for the last time 🙌🏼
