Yea I need a different plow. I added the sleeve hitch, spring assist, etc. and all that is working on the Cub, so I don't want to muck with changing the setup now.
Thanks for helping sorting this out. Anyone want a plow Cat0? At least it's rare, LOL :(
I've not been, yet :)
July 4th?
P.S. This plow finally makes sense. I found a pic of it setup for 3 point. Took forever to find how it attaches to a 3 point. I'm a visual guy so this wasn't clicking.
Plow frame U-bolts on to the bar of that hitch and the tractor's 3 point linkages are...
Ah, well it's the only attachment that would need that with my Cub.
It's a 10" plow.
I'm near Green Bay.
I also have a Ford 4000 with a few 3 point attachments (via linkages) but not the standalone triangular 3 point hitch itself. It sounds like that is what this plow needs.
P.S. Here are the 3 kits/assemblies that I've found, and I think 2 are sold on CCSpecialty too. Anyways, none make sense for this plow.

How is my moldboard plow that has 4 hole flat plate suppose to attach? instead of the usual 3 hole hitch.
I'd posted about this awhile back and folks tuned me into the Cat0-to-sleeve hitch adapter but that's not making sense to me. I've been scratching my head on and off about this one. I...
Hah, yea folks with lots of time on their hands.
You reminded me that my Cub's hydro does have a fan attached to the trans shaft (and my Simplicity has a fan for its hydro attached via pulley); so if anything might fail it could be from overheating if those fans spin too slowly on hot days...
"Why?" replies that I've tried:
Spare parts for cheap.
If it breaks down, we've got a backup.
Upgrade of the current one.
My replies haven't worked.
Usually the counter-response boils down to: "Just buy a brand new one". :feint:
Do folks run their hydros at full throttle all the time?
I bumped into the recommendation to run full throttle all the time or else - BOOM. It was on another lawn mower forum: New mower engine speed
I do run full throttle when mowing. Otherwise, I do not. I have 2 hydros in my garage.
My...
Racers have finally caught onto that. There's a vid of a Telsa Plaid outracing a Mustang Shelby on the 1/4 mile! Ford is planning that their new Cobra Jet 1400 will put the Stang back on top -- though in electric form.
Electric has a ridiculous amount of torque. It's hilarious that tractors...
Reminds me of the old B&W movie "Our Vines Have Tender Grapes". Ed Robinson as farmer who drove a gas car during the warm season but switched back to skid pulled horse in winter. Who says ya can't learn nothing from a movie?
In a more related note --
Cub's electric won't work for...
Yup, Jay Leno has one he refurbed. It looks like an Amish buggy but with batteries, hehe.
Planned obsolescence didn't start with electronics, but yea the tech and EE world should be ashamed for making it worse. Tech is my day job. The amount of silica and rare Earth metals that are wasted...
Or engine guys in general. It probably has nothing to do with ability. And nothing to do with newness factor -- electronics have been around since the 50s in consumer goods, and in mowers in the 70s.
Nostalgia plays a big factor IMO. Electronics don't make deep rumbling growling sounds that...
Good to see the differences, so thx for posting those pics Kraig.
I went ahead and ordered a new IH assist from Charlie. No reason to wait around trying to find a an original used one b/c my 127 is a daily driver not a show tractor.
Indeed.
I'm pushing snow with the 42" blade but my right bicep is going to be HUGE by the end of winter. Uneven gravel driveway so the blade catches & needs a lift. It's a workout.
The spring assist should work with any manual lift attachment? Assuming I can find one ...
