I have had trouble intermittently with my 2185. That era of 2000 and 3000 series are good mowers but have some inherent issues. Ignition switch can be a problem as well as the various safety switches. Also if those sit for long the carburetor seems to dry out and they take a while to get gas up...
Never hurts to try and negotiate. It does look pretty clean and has wheel weights. Anything else come with it? If it has a snow blower or blade, that will add to the value.
I gave 250 ish for a ccc 682 with a 38" deck and a series 2 kt a few years ago. I had to get it running which entailed...
I dont know that those are considered a cyclops. I never did anyway. They are the first model series of all or nearly all mtd designed cub. The cyclops still used the 82 series chassis and all the attachments interchanged for the most part. Yes they have a single headlight but other than that...
All the needles are for the hours. Yellow needle is every 60 hours looks like, red is hours, and white is I believe tenths of an hour. It's a bit confusing and hard to read imo. Probably why they get replaced with the newer style once they quit or get hard to see thru a fogged lense.
I'd just buy a 1772 and leave it be. Your version may be perfect for certain tasks....but it would not be at all what I would want. I would prefer the hydro just as it is for my uses. Everyone's version of perfect will be different I guess.
No experience here but have read many articles that caution to use the appropriate media so as not to damage delicate parts. Sheet metal can be warped with sand. You probably already know this but worth mentioning.
At one time I believe baking soda or some such was being used in the auto...
I dont think I agree with that. I have an 1862 with ag style rears and one with out. Have very little trouble with the ag style getting around in the snow. Both have chains and to be fair one has a 451 blower and the one with ag style has a qa 36 a snow thrower on it. But it gets around better...
I can't recall off the top of my head which model went to the wider belt. But yes earlier stuff had the A series belt. I believe the 782 has the C series belt. The early wide frames may have still been A series. I'm thinking they were. Probably be just as easy to find a snow blower with the...
I would presume where the oil light is reading from. You could t off and have both a light and a gauge or you could do away with the light and just have a gauge.
Will it work? Yes. Is it the same thing as hytran. No. Is it as good as hytran, probably not. Hytran is unique in its water absorbing properties. The rights to produce it were held by ih and those that came after. Viscosity oil was the original licensed maker for ih. They still are producing it...
