By looking I also mean using my hands to feel the linkages and making sure nothing is loose or majorly out of adjustment

I have the tractor torn down to put piston rings in. The person I bought it from ran it like that. I’ve never had issues with governors on these before

That is interesting because I have seen several 800s around here I don’t care for them because the later model cub cadets arnt in my interests.

My 1970 147 with 14hp Kohler k321 has an issue. When you start it it idles just fine if you give it a small amount of throttle it is fine for a moment then slowly starts revving up untill WIDE open. Not full throttle completely wide open. I’ve never had an issue like this with any of my kohler k...
