Kohler engines, V-twins and beer. I think I love Wisconsin.

Lots of help, thanks to everyone!

Looks like mine is frozen and will have to be re-built. I hate to keep pestering, but if someone could post a pic of what the bottom part of that pin looks like, I can start working on a replacement.

Also, anyone know any tricks for getting the springs off?

No hurry.

marcus,

I'll get you some latter today if no one else post them first. But I hope someone else will post them. My blade is in the shed and I'll have to move that big Magilla to get the pictures.

We got ya covered though.

Sorry about posting in the wrong area and thanks for the info on the trip pin.

Does anyone have an even closer pic or diagram? Looks like I might have to manufacture a replacement for the part of that pin that swivels.

marcus,
My guess is you are talking about the trip pin. It will either keep the blade rigid or allow it to rock back so that you don't bite the steering wheel if ya hit an immovable object.

Marcus, the 1250 is a garden tractor and your post really belongs in the IH Cub Cadet Forum... In any case here are some images for you.

Hi, I just bought a snowblade taken off of a 1250 and I noticed after I got it home that there is a pin that has been welded in place in front of the pin that allows the blade to move from side to side. The welded pin is well in front of the other pin, and its up next to the blade. I hope that makes sense to someone (I don't have a camera handy for a pic). I did a search and couldn't find any closeups of this area on the forum. I was wondering if someone out there has pictures of a good one they can show me so I can figure out if I have to do any repairs to this point before I restore it. (a disassembled view would be great)!

-thanks
