NOTE 1. In 1960 there were: 3 experimental models built by the Engineering Center, 10 prototypes built at Louisville Works and believed by the author to be numbered 401 through 410 (409 exists), and a limited-production of 25 test units beginning with S/N 501. After the 25 test units, production continued at Louisville Works on a limited basis to test manufacturing equipment & procedures, and to establish piecework prices. However shipments would not start until testing was completed, expected to be in Jan. 1961. Release for shipment was approved by TCR# 49-A dated 3 Jan 1961. Production began in Jan 61.
